The Future of DEI in PR

October is Diversity, Equity and Inclusion month for the Public Relations Society of America. The New Mexico Chapter of PRSA invites you to a virtual presentation about the active role PR and communications professionals can take in advancing DEI matters.

Join us Thursday, October 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. as we welcome Dr. Nilanjana Bardhan, professor of public relations and intercultural communication at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). She will lead us in a discussion about the future of DEI in PR and offers strategies for PR practitioners to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in our communications and storytelling. While you may know why advancing DEI is vital, don’t miss this opportunity to learn how we can all become DEI leaders in our industry and beyond.

You can read Dr. Bardhan’s essay about the roles PR and communication professionals can take in DEI matters here.

This will be our last regularly scheduled monthly program of 2021 and we look forward to seeing you then to wrap up a great year of programming!

Registration required. You will be provided with the meeting link and calendar invite upon registering. The deadline to register is Wednesday, October 27 at 5 p.m.
